By using this freezer paper method to prepare the shapes and stitching them to your block by machine with a zigzag stitch, you’ll learn how to machine appliqué in a fraction of the time it takes to hand appliqué with stunning results!

In class, you will learn the standard freezer paper preparation method, reverse appliqué, how to appliqué on a pieced block and how to sew the appliqué down with a zigzag stitch. We’ll also talk about other ways to sew the shapes down, how different threads can result in different looks and other modern techniques for making appliqué quilts.
